If there are already Motoman arms on the floor, the question is not which robot is best. It is what it costs to run a second brand beside the first.
Six-axis Motoman robots cover welding, handling, and machine tending, which is most of what a fleet gets used for. Behind them is Yaskawa motion control, the drives and servos your engineers already know.
Staying on one brand keeps programming, spares, and training pooled across the fleet. The second arm is cheaper to own than the first, because nothing about it is new to your team.
We spec, source, and support additions to what is already on the floor, and we can start a fleet from zero just as easily. Tell us what you want to automate and we will spec the robot and the cell.

What areas do you support Yaskawa in?

We already run Motoman robots. Can you support what is on the floor?
That is the most common reason people call us about Yaskawa. Staying in brand keeps INFORM programming, controller spares, and operator training the same across the plant, so adding an arm to an existing Motoman fleet is usually cheaper to own than bringing in a second robot brand. We quote the new cell and the spares for the older ones.
Which Motoman fits a cell where people work alongside the robot?
The HC series: HC10DTP at 10 kg and 1,200 mm reach, HC20DTP at 20 kg, and HC30PL for collaborative palletizing. They are power and force limited and teach by hand guidance. Yaskawa's own line is that there is no such thing as a collaborative robot, only a collaborative application, so the risk assessment still decides how fast it runs and what guarding it needs.
Do we need someone who knows INFORM to program it?
Not to get started. The Smart Pendant lets an operator jog the robot from where they are standing and build straightforward jobs without writing INFORM, and INFORM is still underneath when a job gets complicated. We train your team on the cell we supply.
What does a Yaskawa robot cost?
It depends on payload, reach, and what the cell needs around it, and the arm is usually the smaller half of the budget. Tell us the part and the task and we'll give you a budgetary number you can plan around.
